Commutable from Pickering, Scarborough, York, Driffield, Middlesborough, Stamford Bridge and Malton

2 positions available – one working days and one working nights

Working 4 on 4 off Nights (5.30pm – 5.30am) 1 Person Required

Working 4 on 4 off Days (5.30am – 5.30pm) 1 Person Required

Permanent role

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer for a company based in Malton, North Yorkshire.

The Role

Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, the aim of this role is to maintain and repair all equipment in the relevant department. Each department has strict hygiene and safety rules in order to avoid contamination, so a crucial part of this role is being aware of and adhering to the restrictions.

Duties

• Attend to breakdowns, reactive maintenance to enable continued production
• Use and record PPM’s and breakdowns on the company maintenance system
• Day to day maintenance of machines
• Strip down the machines for hygiene purposes and re-build these after cleaning
• Maintain and service temperature control equipment
• Identify opportunities for improvements to the department
• Being the ambassador for the site at all times, behaving in a professional and courteous manner with both internal and external customers

Skills/Experience

• Electrical or Mechanical engineering background
• Relevant engineering qualifications – minimum Engineering NVQ or equivalent
• Ability to work unsupervised (although advice and guidance will be available where required)
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Ability to think on your feet
• Self-Motivated
