Sales Estimator Planner

Do you have a background in supervising, planning, or estimating in a sheet metal & welding company? 

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is hiring on behalf of their client a Sales Estimator Planner(sheet metal work / including interpreting technical and fabrication drawings) to work based in Burnley, BB12 to join a busy sheet metal fabrications subcontractor company! 

Our client a busy sheet metal fabrications subcontractor company is seeking a Sales Estimator Planner. A career in light gauge (1.2mm to 3mm) sheet metal work would be an advantage. Essential skills would include interpreting technical and fabrication drawings, a confident attitude in discussing solutions, computer literacy and a personable phone manner. 

The role will include estimating production costs, material requirements and other purchases for new work. The ideal candidate may well have previous experience in a supervising or planning or estimating role in a sheet metal & welding company. 

Hours of work are 7:30 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 7:30 to 12:30 on Friday. An annual salary of Circa £30,000 PA depending on experience. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimate sizes and costs of resources and materials needed for a customer requirement, working from detailed Engineering Drawings. 
• Work closely with Production, Engineering & Sales on any issues.
• Correspond with customers when issuing quotes.
• Produce Quotations and Production Documents using an ERP system MIE Trak. 

 

Experience, attributes & skills sought:

• The role will include estimating production costs, material requirements and other purchases for new work. 

• The ideal candidate may well have previous experience in a supervising or planning or estimating role in a sheet metal & welding company.
