After months of amendments between the Commons and the House of Lords, the Employment Rights Bill has now become the Employment Rights Act following Royal Assent on 18th December 2025, formally adopting the UK Government&rsquo;s &ldquo;Make Work Pay&rdquo; reforms.
While many measures are subject to phased commencement and secondary legislation, the final shape of the reforms is now clear. Here&rsquo;s the latest on what&rsquo;s confirmed, what has changed since July, and what remains under consultation.
