Job description
Title: Grinding Machine Operator -Weekend Shift
Salary:
Location: Tiverton
Hours : Friday to Sunday : 0600am - 1800pm
Type: Permanent
Our client based in Tiverton s currently has an exciting opportunity for a machine operator to join their Team on weekends only shift. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and forward-thinking person with engineering and machine operating experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and running grinding machines to produce high-quality components.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Set and operate grinding machines to manufacture various components.
- Select the correct program for machine operation.
- Ensure machines are correctly set up and maintained for optimal performance.
- Conduct quality checks on slides before and after machining to meet production standards.
Key Skills Required:
- Understanding of engineering drawings.
- Ability to follow process instructions accurately.
- Proficient in using measuring equipment.
- Basic IT skills with knowledge of specific engineering packages.
Qualifications:
- A Level 2/3 engineering qualification is preferred.
- Experience in an engineering environment is desirable but not essential.
