Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours / week

Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for an Accounts Semi Senior to join our accountancy clients team in Exeter.

This role is ideal for someone with at least two years of practice experience and an AAT Level 4 qualification (or equivalent). You'll work across a diverse client portfolio, preparing accounts and tax returns for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders, with support from experienced colleagues to help you grow and succeed.

The role:

Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

Compiling and submitting VAT returns and maintaining accurate client records

Producing corporation tax computations and individual tax returns

Supporting clients with queries and software, both remotely and on-site

Preparing management accounts and assisting with statutory financial statement

Liaising with HMRC when required

Supervising and guiding junior team members and trainees

Accurately recording time on daily timesheets and ensuring deadlines are met

Staying up to date with industry developments through ongoing CPD

About you:

AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent), with at least 2 years' practice experience

Solid understanding of accounting and tax principles

Experience with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, and CCH

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a tea
