CNC Lathe Setter / Operator

Location: Crewkerne, Somerset

Job type: Permanent, 39 hours per week

Hours: Monday - Wednesday 7:30am - 4:30pm, Thursday 7:30am - 4pm & Friday 7:30am - 1pm

Salary: Up to £32,448 per annum, DOE

Are you an experienced CNC Setter looking for a long term role in a well established environment? We are looking for a skilled CNC Miller to join our clients Machine Shop on their day shift team.

The role

Working with a supportive Machine Shop team, you will be responsible for setting and operating a range of CNC milling machines(2, 3 and 3+2 axis) to produce small to medium batch components. Your role will include:

      Setting and operating CNC milling machines (programming knowledge helpful but not essential)

Carrying out 1 st off inspections and quality checks using a variety of measuring tools

Making confident machine adjustments with minimal supervision

Tooling management, including replacing inserts

Undertaking deburring tasks as required

Basic machine maintenance

Using overhead cranes (training provided)

About you

You'll be an experienced CNC Miller with:

      At least 2 years CNC milling experience using Faunc and Heidenhain controls

Strong understanding of technical drawings

High attention to detail and a problem solving mindset

Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team

Commitment to safe working practices
