Salary: C£32,500

Hours: 39 hours per week

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are supporting a specialist furniture workshop in Cheltenham who are looking for an experienced Wood CNC Machinist to join their production team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands on craftsmanship and has a strong eye for detail.

The Role

As a Wood CNC Machinist, you'll be responsible for preparing, setting and operating CNC machinery to produce high quality wooden components.

Your duties will include:

• Working from technical drawings to set up the machine accurately
• Selecting and fitting the correct jigs, fixtures, and cutting tools
• Loading timber materials and ensuring smooth machining throughout
• Calibrating equipment and carrying out routine checks
• Identifying and resolving issues during the machining process
• Inspecting parts at various stages to maintain quality standards
• Keeping the machine and surrounding area clean and well?maintained
• Monitoring cutting, drilling, grooving, and shaping operations
• Adjusting settings, replacing worn tools, and following QA procedures
• Adhering to all safety rules and wearing provided PPE

What You'll Bring

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience operating CNC machinery (woodworking environment preferred)
• Strong practical ability and excellent attention to detail
• Good concentration and the ability to work independently
• Manual handling capability
• Basic maths skills, including using a vernier scale
• At least 2 years' experience in a similar CNC machining role
