Quality Leader
- Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
- Annual bonus: up to 10%
- Enhanced employer pension contribution: 8%
- 37.5-hour working week
- Flexible start times (7:30am-8:00am)
- Early finish Fridays
- Hybrid working available on Wednesdays
Our client, a well-established and successful manufacturing business based in Bristol, is seeking an experienced Quality Leader to join their team and take responsibility for leading and developing the site Quality function.
This is a key leadership role, providing the opportunity to influence quality strategy, drive continuous improvement, and make a significant contribution to operational performance and customer satisfaction. You will lead a team of 6, ensuring quality standards are maintained while developing a proactive culture of ownership and improvement across the business.
The successful candidate will work closely with teams across Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and wider business functions to embed quality into every stage of the operation. You will also build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and external auditors to ensure ongoing compliance and performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the Quality team, ensuring effective delivery of quality objectives.
- Maintain and improve quality management systems, processes, and standards.
- Lead internal and supplier audit programmes, ensuring compliance and driving improvements.
- Manage quality issues, customer complaints, and corrective action processes through effective root cause analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce non-conformities, improve processes, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with suppliers to improve incoming quality performance.
- Support compliance with relevant standards, including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
- Provide quality guidance, training, and support across the wider business.
About You
- A proven background in quality leadership within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Experience managing and developing a quality team.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, auditing, problem-solving, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- The ability to influence stakeholders and build effective relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- A structured and analytical approach, with a strong focus on delivering sustainable
