Salary: £40,000 – £48,000 per annum

(Hybrid working available – office 3–4 days per week) Working Monday to Friday

About the Role

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are seeking an experienced and proactive Accountant to support the financial health of the organisation by delivering accurate monthly management accounts, overseeing key accounting operations, and collaborating with internal and international teams.

This standalone role requires strong technical accounting skills, excellent analytical capability, and the confidence to work closely with senior leaders, external stakeholders, and global finance teams. Weekend working may be required occasionally to meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Monthly Management Reporting
• Produce monthly management reporting packs for Directors. 
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheets.
• Manage fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.

Accounting Operations

• Maintain the general ledger.
• Manage intercompany recharges and reconciliations.
• Handle online banking operations including payments and reconciliations.
• Calculate and process royalties under international agreements.

Tax & Compliance

• Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns.
• Support statutory and HMRC compliance.
• Assist with quarterly royalty calculations.

Audit & External Relations

• Liaise with auditors for annual audits and address queries.
• Work with external stakeholders including banks and regulatory bodies.

Collaboration & Global Coordination

• Work with international teams across Europe and Asia to align financial reporting.

Additional Responsibilities

• Budgeting and forecasting.
• Cost analysis and variance reporting.
• Cash flow support and forecasting.
• Drive financial system and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis.

Qualifications & Skills

• ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified or part‑qualified with strong experience.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with accounting software/ERP (e.g., SAP, Sage 200, Oracle).
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros).
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS

Experience

• Proven management accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing.
• Comfortable working with international teams.

• High attention to detail and strong organisational ability.
• Confident communicator able to work independently under deadlines
