Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced finance and accounts person to join a fast‑paced and growing finance team as an Assistant Management Accountant, supporting core financial processes and contributing to continuous improvement across the function. This full‑time, permanent role is based in Ripon, North Yorkshire, offering a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career and gain broader exposure to month‑end reporting, financial analysis and financial controls.

About the Role

Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end activities, and ensuring strong financial controls are upheld. This role suits someone with a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and confidence working with financial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily banking — Assist with daily banking activity and cash reconciliations.
• Month‑end processes — Support accruals, prepayments and financial reporting.
• Financial records — Maintain accurate documentation and financial data.
• Audit support — Assist with audits and compliance checks.
• Stock and cost control — Provide administrative support for stock and cost control.
• General finance admin — Deliver wider finance and administrative support as required.
• Cross‑functional liaison — Work with colleagues across the business to gather information and resolve queries.
• Deadline management — Work independently and manage deadlines effectively.

Requirements

• Previous finance or accounting experience
• AAT Level 3 or above
• Strong Excel skills and confidence handling financial data
• Proactive mindset with genuine enthusiasm for finance
• Professional, organised and able to work independently or within a team
