Purchase Ledger Administrator – 4Day Week!

Thirsk, North Yorkshire YO7

Hours: 30 hours across 4 days per week

Salary: Up to £30,000 pro rata (depending on experience)

Commutable from York, Ripon, Thirsk, Boroughbridge, Northallerton

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are on the hunt for an experienced and proactive Purchase Ledger Administrator to take full ownership of our purchase ledger function. If you love accuracy, enjoy problem‑solving, and thrive in a busy environment where no two days look quite the same, this could be the perfect next step.

You'll become a key part of the Finance team, working with two purchasing systems, building relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

What you’ll be doing

  • Registering invoices using OCR technology
  • Investigating and resolving invoice, PO and credit queries
  • Preparing accurate supplier payment runs
  • Managing statements, proformas, and chasing missing info
  • Working closely with production managers and wider internal teams
  • Producing accruals and prepayments
  • Taking full ownership of the purchase ledger process

  • Have experience in a purchase ledger or AP role
  • Have a great eye for detail and strong numeracy
  • Enjoy working independently but also value a supportive team
  • Are organised, proactive and calm under pressure
  • Are a confident IT user (we’ll train you on our bespoke systems)
