Job description
I wanted to reach out with a quick heads-up about a standout Facilities Manager I’m currently representing– who's just become available due to redundancy and could be a real asset for any operations requiring experienced hands-on logistics or retail depot environments.
He brings over 20 years of FM and building services experience, most recently overseeing large, multi-temperature distribution centres, managing everything from capital projects and compliance to reactive maintenance and contractor coordination. He’s delivered significant upgrades – including refrigeration EV charging installs, full office refurbishments, freezer roof replacements and sprinkler system overhauls – all while keeping live sites running smoothly.
He’s also got deep technical roots, having started as an installation electrician and worked his way up through M&E engineering, project management, and site services. A few highlights:
- Recently managed FM operations across two large RDCs (over 500,000 sq ft), leading projects worth over £1M while maintaining uptime and compliance.
- Known for his energy cost-saving initiatives – such as a 95% LED retrofit reducing site consumption significantly.
- Strong on H&S, stakeholder communication, and driving performance via preventative maintenance and root cause analysis.
He’s happy to consider roles across Yorkshire, available to start a new role immediately and looking for a salary of around £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
