As a strategic and results-driven Human Resources professional with over 10 years of experience in HR management, they are passionate about shaping organisational culture, fostering employee development, and driving business success through effective people strategies. She has a diverse range of experiences across multiple industries, roles, and organisations. This breadth of expertise has equipped her with the skills to successfully navigate a wide range of HR challenges and has led to her current role as Head of HR. In this position, she oversees the entire HR function, including Health & Safety and Facilities Management, whilst being part of the Senior Leadership Team and serving as a trusted advisor to them.
She was tasked with developing and executing a comprehensive People Strategy to support the company's growth trajectory, focusing on three key HR pillars: Engagement & Wellbeing, Reward & Remuneration, and Learning & Development. My efforts were centred on fostering a culture that supports employee retention, development, and well-being, and positioning the studio to achieve its first Investors in People Award.
Providing ongoing HR and Employee Relations guidance to the business and its managers, ensuring compliance with employment law, minimising risk, and promoting best practices. Operating within an SME environment, her role has been both hands-on and strategic, requiring a flexible, adaptive approach to meet the evolving needs of the business.
Experience
- Oversee the operational and strategic management of the HR department, supporting a workforce of 100+ staff.
- Lead and coach a team of three HR professionals to deliver exceptional recruitment, facilities management services, and HR expertise to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team to contribute to the development and execution of the broader organisational strategy.
- Provide guidance to managers on Employee Relations issues, ensuring compliance with employment law and effective risk management.
- Ensure HR policies, processes, and procedures are legally compliant, aligned with best practices, and support business objectives.
- Develop and enhance management capabilities through tailored internal training programs and coaching, including the creation of training toolkits.
- Design and implement organisational development plans to rewards employees, provide growth opportunities, and ensure the right talent is in place to drive business success.
